As a winter service, we have been conducting an Ice Smelt Fishing Tour near Sapporo since the 2023-24 season.
The 2024-25 season is scheduled to start on December 25.

(※) As of December 30, 2024, the ice conditions are poor, making it unsafe for smelt fishing. Currently, the tour is expected to start around January 6, 2025.
Overview of the Ice Smelt Fishing Tour near Sapporo
The smelt fishing site is located on the Barato River, which flows between Sapporo City and Ishikari City, about 30 minutes by car from Sapporo Station.
We also offer a pick-up service from Sapporo Station.
Fee: On-site Meeting Plan: 6,500 yen; Sapporo Station Pick-up Plan: 7,500 yen
Eligible Age: 5 years and older; elementary school children are welcome to participate
Duration: Half-day (Morning and Afternoon Plans)
